A site dedicate to eXclusive Theories, Wisdom, Joy and Means on Solar Panels and Technology

During the week of June 21, 2010, I had a photovoltaic solar system installed at my home in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. The installation took place over two days, with the panels installed the first day and the electrical connections completed the second day. The system consists of 18 235-Watt panels, and each panel has a dedicated inverter installed under the solar panel. As you can see, the crews were fast, neat and professional. I shot this with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 digital camera and edited it using Corel VideoStudio Pro x2. Edit: The new digital electric meter was installed on July 14, 2010, so this system is now generating power and feeding the grid. This Mississippi Solar Ready Home? located at 2 Eastparke Cove in Jackson, MS is built to afford the homeowner the option of easily installing solar. This recently completed home is pre-wired for both solar and electric vehicle charging. Projected data for solar energy harvest is available based on a solar site survey conducted by Mississippi Solar. The survey verifies the home is optimally sited with adequate un-shaded, south-facing roof area suitable for a large solar array on the off street side of the property.

Additionally, the spacious 3 car garage has been wired for both phase I and phase II electric vehicle charging stations. A benefit which Will Hegman, with Mississippi Solar, took advantage of by charging up his ?all? electric car while attending the recent Brokers Open House held by Charlotte Smith Real Estate. According to Will Hegman, ?The homeowner of this property could produce sufficient electricity from the sun to power an electric car for over 20,000 miles per year. This could yield an annual fuel savings of approximately $ 2,600 per year for the next 30 years based on current fuel prices. Under this scenario, the payback for the solar array would be roughly 5 years.?

Although Mississippi has abundant sunshine and solar installation costs have dropped significantly in the past few years, the economic incentive for installing solar for most Mississippians is currently missing. According to Mississippi Solar owner Carolyn Hegman, ?Over 80% of solar inquiries come from non-TVA resident Mississippians, but less than 10% of our actual solar installations are outside the Northeast Mississippi TVA coverage area. Currently, the economic solar incentive is not available for Mississippians outside the TVA area. Mississippi Solar decided to develop the Mississippi Solar Ready Home? program to allow homeowners an option to easily add solar and electric vehicle charging solutions once the regulatory obstacles are resolved.?

Solar and EV ready options may not be relevant to the majority of Mississippi homeowners today, but we live in changing times. The option of adding solar or EV charging in the future without having the expense and inconvenience of re-wiring the home and upgrading the electrical service simply makes sense. This Mississippi Solar Ready Home? built by T.J. Couch Properties, Inc. and offered by Charlotte Smith Real Estate sets the mark for innovation.

Deer Park, NY (PRWEB) December 13, 2011

In lean times, everyone tightens their belt, but while the U.S. Post Office is cutting back service, consumers who want to improve their curb appeal are increasingly turning to residential mailbox columns as a design focus, according to the customer service department at Faux Panels.com.

Cutbacks in the number of operating service centers, overnight guarantees, and potential loss of Saturday deliveries were reported by the USPS in a Newsroom Press Release back in September. Earlier this month CBS News, BBC, Huffington Post and many other news outlets reported on the plan of action laid out to save the government agency from bankruptcy that worries many average citizens.

?Between orders and people asking questions in preparation for spring renovations, mailbox columns are still extremely popular and consumers are considering mailbox design as part of their exterior renovations. Our forecast for 2012 is very promising. Problems at the Post Office don?t look to be a factor at all,? said Ruth Barron, vice-president of FauxPanels.com

Analysts are correct that online banking, streaming video and e-cards are having a negative impact on Post Office revenue, but online shopping continues to be popular, especially among working families that aren?t home waiting for deliveries. Cyber Monday results indicate higher sales this year than in previous years ? and all those packages have to be delivered somewhere.

While the economy is showing signs of recovery, consumers are still cautious yet also want to give their exterior a facelift when spring arrives. Mailbox columns are an increasingly popular choice.

?Simple changes do mean a lot. A mailbox column can add a stately presence to the entrance of a property or become a focal point for a fresh exterior design,? said Ruth Barron.

Mailbox Columns Update a Home’s Exterior

Good mailbox design can add a strong visual element to any landscape. One can be placed in a strategic location or a mailbox column can be paired with a matching column to anchor the sides of a driveway or porch. Some columns even come with a solar panel kit for night time illumination.

?Mailbox columns are a great DIY project, which helps consumers save money,? said Ruth Barron. ?Even if someone decides to pay someone to install it, its easier, quicker installation reduces the labor costs, unlike stone columns.?

Faux Stone Mailbox Columns Are Safer

Plus, faux stone and brick veneer residential mailbox columns meet new federal crash regulations for minimizing impact damage in the event of a car crash ? something genuine stone can?t do. They?re also virtually maintenance free, which makes them the perfect choice for busy or aging home owners.

?Updating your mailbox design can provide a quick style change, the starting point for an extensive landscaping redesign or the final step in an exterior update,? said Ruth Barron. ?No matter which you?re doing, you can get a lot out of it.?

Austin, TX (PRWEB) August 16, 2011

Austin-based Solar Community and Houston-based energy giant Reliant Energy have teamed up to offer a new financing option for solar electric power systems. The Reliant Solar Leasing(SM) program is designed to make solar energy easy and affordable. Homeowners installing residential solar panels can now choose between a monthly payment plan or a prepay option.

The Reliant Solar Leasing Program provides turn-key solar energy systems with free monitoring and a twenty year power production guarantee. Each system is custom designed and tailor fit for each customer?s location, budget and electrical consumption habits. The Solar Lease program offers ?Sell-Back Plans? which allow customers to get credit for the unused portion of solar power they generate, and thereby lower their electric bills.

?Solar energy has traditionally been considered a clean, renewable and responsible energy choice,? said Jeff Wolfe Vice President of Business Development at Solar Community. ?But some people have argued that high upfront costs limit its appeal. With the lease program, we are now making solar energy comfortably affordable.?

The financing and lease contract for the solar leasing program will come from Reliant Energy while Solar Community will provide the design and installation of the solar energy systems.

Solar Community is a leading solar installation, design, and financing company with offices in Austin, Houston and San Antonio. Solar Community is committed to making solar power easy and affordable to everyone.

Reliant Energy is a part of NRG Energy, Inc., one of the nation?s largest power producers, providing electricity and energy services across Texas.
