Valley Forge, Pa. (PRWEB) December 15, 2011

CertainTeed is expanding its portfolio of solar roofing products through the introduction of Avancis PowerMax? photovoltaic (PV) modules, which feature rack-mounted modules that can be easily integrated into residential or commercial roofing systems. In conjunction with the product launch, CertainTeed is offering vigorous training programs and technical support as well as extended warranties ? covering the modules, mounting system and workmanship ? to its credentialed contractors.

?PowerMax is demonstrative of CertainTeed?s commitment to innovation and aligns with our commitment to bringing economical, sustainable building product solutions into the marketplace,? says Mark Stancroff, business manager, CertainTeed Solar. ?By expanding CertainTeed Solar?s product offering, we are now able to provide our customers with solar solutions for almost any roofing application.?

Manufactured by Saint-Gobain, the world’s largest building materials company and parent company to CertainTeed, PowerMax is comprised of Copper?Indium?Selenide (CIS) solar technology. It is an ultra-efficient, cost-effective module solution with a sophisticated, sleek design. The stylishly uniform black panels are exceptionally durable, simple to install and suitable for use on all types of roofing, curtain walls and canopies.

In terms of performance, PowerMax continues to generate electricity even in partial shading ? when most commodity modules shut down completely. Additionally, while all PV products perform at their best on clear, sunny days, PowerMax, with its CIS technology, works longer and harder, making the most out of any sunlight conditions thereby further lowering the homeowners? electric bill and reducing carbon emissions. The modules offer a high snow load capacity, Class C fire rating, and are covered by 20-year performance and 10-year product warranties.

The product qualifies for a 30 percent federal tax credit and may be eligible for state rebates and incentives listed at http://www.dsireusa.org.

CertainTeed and parent company Saint-Gobain, the global leader in solar technology and innovation, offer a powerful portfolio of photovoltaic roofing systems in North America, including EnerGen?, Sunlap?, Apollo? and Avancis PowerMax?. Designed to meet the demands of sustainable construction and replacement roofing, the solar product offering leverages next generation technology to generate unrivaled performance without compromising aesthetics.

Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) January 26, 2012

Solar power company, American Solar, announces completion of a commercial solar installation at a Tucson facility. The project represents the first facility for American Solar that incorporates on-site solar energy production.

In collaboration with the property owner, American Solar installed a large-scale system consisting of 36 Kyocera KD-215 photovoltaic modules. Additional system components include a Fronius G+ V 7.5 kW inverter.

The solar installation is expected to produce annually 13,158 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electric power. ?This has been an exciting project for us,? said Sean Seitz, president of American Solar. ?Not only was this the first facility we?ve worked on that has on-site solar energy production, but the system size produces a significant amount of power. In addition, the building?s owner has been a supportive partner by remaining focused on energy efficiency measures throughout the property renovation.?

Beautiful orrery(solar system model) avaiable in : www.orrerystore.com .Solartron Energy Systems Inc. has created the SolarBeam Concentrator is the word's first affordable parabolic solar concentrator for thermal hot water production. One system provides peak 10kw/hour (34000 BTU/hour) of hot water capable to heat a 2400 sq. ft (222 m2) house. The solar collector area of the SolarBeam Concentrator is 121 sq ft (11.3 m2) and concentrates the sun's heat on a 10″X10″ (25X25 cm) heat exchanger. The SolarBeam has dual-axis sun tracking and is available for commercial, government, and residential applications. Payback is typically 6 years with government incentives. SolarBeam is 262% more efficient than solar flat plate hot water panels and 98% more efficient than evacuated tube panels. The system is also capable of generating 3.5 kW/hour of photovoltaic electricity as well provide air conditioning in conjunction with absorption chillers. SolarTron Energy Systems Inc. is currently looking for global distributors.

WINDENERGY7.com – - Solar Power and Solar Kits are available at our site. Solar Power is the conversion of sunlight into electricity. Sunlight can be converted directly into electricity using photovoltaics (PV), or Solar Power. Photovoltaics were initially used to power small and medium-sized applications, from the calculator powered by a single solar cell to off-grid homes powered by a photovoltaic solar power array. A significant problem with solar power is installation cost. Small solar power applications are now replacing other sources in the developing world. Solar Power for Sale and Solar Panel Cost for Solar Installation are available from WindEnergy7 LLC. We are an Ohio based company shipping Solar Power worldwide. We sell complete engineered systems to ensure customers success in their installation and operation. Our systems provide energy security, emergency power, and we can run anything, any size, anywhere, with or without the grid power. Our customers can run their meters backward selling excess power to the utility. Solar Power are used extensively in the country where there is no grid energy available. These systems are called Off-Grid solar panel systems. This requires the use of batteries to store the energy for use at night or on long stretches of overcast weather. The energy stored in the batteries leaves the batteries as DC electricity then converted to alternating current (AC) for use with conventional appliances. Much like running your own mini …
